Create Web 2.0 reflection effect in simple steps.

Web 2.0 design is the latest fad. Adding a reflection effect to image/text looks really cool. You can use this reflection anywhere to make your image look more attractive.

Here are simple steps to create a reflection effect on Adobe Photoshop -

I. Create a canvas and write any text of your choice, as shown below -

II. Now select the Text-Layer and goto > Layer > Duplicate layer as shown below.

III. Now select your Text-Copy layer, and goto > Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical, your canvas will appear as like below -

IV. Place your copy text close to your original text, and press M to get ‘Rectangular Marquee Tool’, and select the copy text as shown below.

V. Press ‘Ctrl+Shift+N’ to create new layer over selected area. Select the ‘Gradeint Tool’ from the Toolbox as shown below.

Vi. Now set your foreground color as white from the toolbox. Now from Gradient toolbar select ‘Foreground to Transparent’ as shown below.

VII. Now click and drag from below your copy text to level of original text as shown below.

VIII. Now press ‘Ctrl+D’ to deselect the selected area. That’s it you have successfully created a reflection effect for a text, as shown below.

You can repeat the similar steps to create a reflection effect for image.
