Category Results not showing properly on WordPress blog?

PROBLEM

I am using TheSource theme on WordPress blog: http://www.mobigod.com

When you click on any categories, it do not shows the all posts.

e.g Category “Nokia” has 16 posts. But when you click on it, first it shows 6 posts. After clicking Older Entries it shows next 6 post. But when you click again on Older Entries to view the next posts, it shows

No Results Found
The page you requested could not be found. Try refining your search, or use the navigation above to locate the post.

And thus not shows the remaining 4 posts. This happens with Tags also.

Please help me soon!

SOLUTION

Go to WP Dashboard > Settings > Reading .. and change the number for “blog pages show at most” option

Set it to the same number you have inside epanel for “Number of posts displayed on category pages”

Also in epanel set the same no. for tags, archives etc.

How to Remove Title Bar & Rating in Embeded YouTube Videos

When you embed the YouTube video to your website, that video shows a grey bar at the top with the title of the video. Most of you do not want to show this title and rations. You can easily remove this title.

Following the embed code of YouTube video:

Just replace
&hl=en_US

with
&showinfo=0

This will remove the title and ratings.

Easy way to add a favicon to WordPress website

Favicon is really important as it adds identity to your URL. Your site can be easily identified from the list of favorites, because of its favicon.

Earlier I told a way to add favicon using Editor. Now there is a WordPress pluin to add favicon easily.

Procedure:

1. Create a image file using your favorite program like MS paint.
2. Upload it to www.html-kit.com/favicon
and download favicon file.
3. You will get favicon.ICO file. Upload it to photo sharing site like PhotoBucket and image URL.
4. Go to Add a New Plugin Page and search for All in One Favicon and install that plugin. Go to the Settings > All in One Favicon.
5. Paste the favicon image URL to the Frontend ICO. And save settings.

Now your WordPress website will have new favicon.

How to Avoid Duplicate Posts in Multiple Loops.

In the recent days almost every wordpress blog is using ‘Magazine’ type themes. But one problem associated with Magazine themes is that they use more than one loop on their blog home page for a solution to avoiding duplicate posts on the second loop.

Well this lttle php hack can solve this problem for you.

1. Let’s start by creating a simple PHP array, and put all post IDs from the first loop in it.

Loop n°1

$ids = array();
while (have_posts()) : the_post();
the_title();
?>

ID;
endwhile; ?>

2. Now, the second loop: we use the PHP function in_array() to check if a post ID is contained in the $ids array. If the ID isn’t contained in the array, we can display the post because it wasn’t displayed in the first loop.

Loop n°2

query_posts(“showposts=50″);
while (have_posts()) : the_post();
if (!in_array($post->ID, $ids)) {
the_title();?>

endwhile; ?>

How it works: At the time the first loop will be executed, all IDs of posts contained within it are put into an array variable. Now when the second loop is executed, we check that the current post ID hasn’t already been displayed in the first loop by referring to the array.

That’s all.
